Actually, people are just the same. We can tell, because we have paintings from the 1300s. We can compare what people looked like back then with what they look like now.
Since people are just the same, it stands to reason that many of them are simply changing their religion... just like many people did back in the 1300s. The minor difference is that now days we have the religion of science that people are turning to. The religion of atheism has been around for thousands of years.

Religion is a mental disorder...
It causes you to think differently than sane people... religious people make poor choices because they abhor logic and reason
Religion makes people do stupid things... like strap a bomb to your chest, or fly a plane into a building...
Religious people should be committed into psychiatric care for their own safety
Everyone shows that they have a mental disorder. How? Everyone is religious in one way or another.
Part of the point of religion is to show which religion is more accurate. Since the proof for the existence of God is expressed in science, atheism is less accurate than theism. Because of this, probably all religions that have a god are more accurate that religions that don't.
Because of atheism, people like Stalin, Hitler, Mao, and many others did stupid things, like killing off millions of citizens in the countries that they ruled. Wouldn't they have had way more benefit from those people if they had simply taxed them?
Bankers are made up of Jews. Jews are getting lots more money off living people than off dead ones. But they are often getting money off the dead as well. The Jews are theists, and have a theistic religion.
The point is the stupidity of atheism.
