What do you think is the best way to store bitcoins on a paper wallet?
Engraving in metal?
Engraving in metal is a great method but do you need to go to such lengths? Who would be doing the engraving? What if it was somebody bitcoin/tech savvy? He could play dumb at the time & a few weeks or months later swipe the wallet.
I think paper wallets that are laminated is sufficient.

What are good ways to ensure that a paper wallet, that is being bought from a third party, stores a private key that noone besides the buyer knows/has access to?
