I just read in an article that some guy in Finland bought a new Tesla car for 140 thousand euros paid in BTC. Just makes you save up more every day and chase your dreams. 
Well not that 'rare' considering there are various websites that allow you to buy cars for bitcoins, might've been a noteworthy event if the car dealer accepted bitcoins instead of a middleman who took bitcoin and gave cash to the seller.
