Most of the time it's because you were not on the topic or it was clear and plain spam.
It can also be in self moderated thread, and here the only reason is the one provided by the creator of the thread.
If it was a self modded thread it would state so in the PM.
Ah well thanks for the info. Never got one deleted so couldn't know ^^
