No bitcoin can't make banks dissapear. Physical banks can dissapear, yes that's true but bitcoin won't be the reason that this will happen.
You're still going to need fiat if you're country hasn't adapted to bitcoin yet, so you will always need to exchange.

It does have the potential to eradicate Banks and take over, but it is possible only when people will themselves give some pressure on Governments to let them (people) allow to use Bitcoins, and so one day, the price of BTC will be decided globally and remember, at that time, you won't be able to make any profits trading BTC as BTC will be very high in values...
