DASH was billed as ASIC resistant. So that has to be taken into consideration.

"resistant" means that somebody would have to invest a lot of time and trouble to pull it off.  In this case, somebody cared enough to do it.  

I completely respect your view and I believe your intentions are well intended.

I look at the evidence that ASICS provide security under the right circumstances, but they also result in centralised monopolistic behaviour.

One CPU one vote is difficult to achieve, but I'd rather stay closer to that than specialist mining equipment.  X11 has the advantage of being able to switch around the algo order to make ASCIS a risk to build without impacting GPU miners.

If anyone tries to build secret ASICs to attack the network X11 can be used to stop them in their tracks.  MNs add an additional level of network security.

I'm not convinced ASICs are a net good thing yet.
