  Initial Coin Offering (ICO)

All information about our ICO are available on our blog and website! Please read the following blog post and our FAQ.

ICO Summary

When does the ICO takes place?

The ICO takes place on the 22nd February and will end on the 21st March.

Which crypto-currencies can be exchanged?

In our ICO we accept Bitcoin (BTC) and any other altcoin supported by ShapeShift, e.g. Ether, Monero, Nxt, Dash or Litecoin. These crypto-currencies are eligible for all bonuses and rewards.

Additionally, we accept Crypti (XCR) for a fixed conversion rate of 0,00001300 BTC per XCR. Crypti is not eligible for any bonus or reward, and will always be accepted at the given conversion rate during the ICO.

Our Lisk community member MalReynolds2 also released great charts in which you can see how much Lisk you get for every Bitcoin exchanged, and how much Lisk you get for every Crypti exchanged.


How is the distribution?

• 1,000,000 LISK for early supporters (Bounty Campaign).
• 2,000,000 LISK for advisors, partners, and 3rd parties.
• 4,000,000 LISK for campaigns and bounties (after ICO).
• 8,000,000 LISK for the Lisk core team.
• 85,000,000 LISK for ICO participants.

All Money is held in Escrow

The ICO takes place on the 22nd February and will end on the 21st March.

All BTC will directly go into a 2-of-3 multi-signature Coinbase vault. That means the money can only be withdrawn if two of the three signees agree.

Therefore we have partnered up with two trusted and reputable individuals who will get one key to the multi-signature vault each.

Please be aware that both are independent escrow partners, Coinimal as a company is not involved in this partnership.

Where can I participate?

You will be able to participate on our custom-built website (will be activated once the ICO begins). Today we will also release a guide on how to participate.

What bonuses can I receive?

There will be 4 stages in which people can earn different bonuses for their exchanged BTC and ShapeShift accepted altcoins. (Not valid for exchanged XCR!)

• First week: 15% bonus
• Second week: 10% bonus
• Third week: 5% bonus
• Fourth week: 0% bonus

Special reward for day 1 participants

In order to provide a higher incentive to participate in the ICO from day one, we will be taking 200,000 LISK out of our own funds, and distributing them to all day one ICO participants according to their exchanged amounts. The extra reward will be given to users who donate BTC or an altcoin accepted by ShapeShift within the first day of the ICO launch.

Lisk v0.1.x - February 2016

• Initial Lisk user-interface rebranding.
• Block rewards; to create a financial incentive to run an active delegate (more information next week).
• Multi-lingual interface (starting with Chinese, French, German and English).
• Introduce new and improved Dapp Store categories.

Lisk v0.2.x - First half of March 2016

• Responsive user-interface for mobile and tablet devices. (Moved to March, due to the ICO)
• Restructuring of dapp storage solutions to better cater for end-users.
• Interactive user guides available within the client.
• An integrated faucet for seeding new users with LISK.
• News feeds (blog & dapp news) on the Lisk Dashboard.
• LISK price charts on the Lisk Dashboard.

Lisk v0.3.x - Second half of March 2016

• User avatars (implemented as a dapp).
• User profiles (implemented as a dapp, e.g. a delegate can insert a contact option).

Lisk v0.4.x and onwards

We still need to research more advanced features. We are open to discussions and will update our roadmap with new advanced features once we are going forward.

• Dapp store enhancements (dapp updates, user reviews, user ratings, featured dapps, buy a dapp, and more…).
• IPFS integration as a dapp storage solution.
• Plug 'n play system for sidechain forgers.
• Update the Lite client to include all new features.
• iOS & Android clients.


  Bounties

We shall reserve 1,000,000 LISK (1% of the total amount) for bounties which we will distribute to everyone who supports Lisk before and during the ICO. You can support Lisk by creating more awareness within other crypto-currency communities and strengthening its brand.

If you have done one (or all) of the following bounties, we will contact you on the associated social networks in private and ask you for your Lisk address. We will do this once the network is running at the end of March.

Newsletter Subscribers — 200,000 LISK

Subscribe to our newsletter and receive weekly summaries about Lisk. Just scroll to the bottom of our website and insert your email address into the form which says “Your email”.

Update: There is an unusual high number of newsletter subscribers. We suspect that these are fake emails. We are using Mailchimp to send out our newsletters, and we can see user ratings there. That means we can see if a user is reading a newsletter or not. At the end of the newsletter bounty campaign we will filter out all fake emails. Please be fair to the others.

Facebook Likes — 100,000 LISK

Give us a Facebook like and receive constant updates about Lisk and our ICO. We co-post every blog post and important announcement to Facebook.

Update: A small mistake happened here. We corrected the Facebook bounty fund to 100,000 LISK.

Twitter Followers — 200,000 LISK

Receive a regular stream of Tweets at our official Twitter account. We will keep you updated about Lisk, our website and our services. From time to time we will also post useful tips and tricks.

Signature Campaign — 200,000 LISK

Add our official signatures from our Bitcointalk OP to your Bitcointalk profile and receive a stake every week! This way many more crypto-currency enthusiasts will get in contact with Lisk.

In order to make a weekly list of all Bitcointalk users with our signature, they need to send a private message to this account (LiskHQ) at least once. Once a week we go through all the private messages and write down all usernames with our signature. If you have already posted into the Bitcointalk OP once you don't need to send us a PM anymore!

Translations — 300,000 LISK

Everyone who participates in translation work will receive a stake in this category. So if you see that our Bitcointalk OP wasn’t translated into your language yet, then please contact us.

Bounties for translating our client will fall into this category as well. Client translators will receive 5 stakes, we are currently not looking for further client translators.

Max Kordek, CEO
Max is an electrical engineering student at the RWTH Aachen University in the morning and a crypto enthusiast for the rest of the day. His journey into the crypto-currency realm began with Litecoin, and continued with Nxt where he was the CEO of the Nxt Organization and managed the official web presence. After that he joined Crypti and helped building it out into what it is today. He is also the chairman of Bitcoin Aachen, his local university group. His next goal is to make Lisk the leading dapp and sidechain platform for JavaScript developers in the world.

Olivier Beddows, CTO
Olivier Beddows is a full stack developer with over 15 years experience in developing web based e-commerce applications. He joined Crypti (Lisk's predecessor) in early 2015 as a tools developer, and since then has gone on to develop much of the core infrastructure on which Lisk relies upon. He is a husband, father, amateur time-trialist, open-source advocate, and works tirelessly to build a better future for the Lisk platform everyday.
