Just to answer a few questions:
@Amph: Well all of these dates are estimates, no one can tell the exact date because it depends on mining activity! Our countdown is based on a 10-min block generation time, which is Bitcoin network target

Just to answer a few questions:
"Total number of bitcoins:" , are those real stats ? It seems like it's simply increasing and counting , I don't think it's correct .
"Total number of bitcoins": the value is not totally accurate since new bitcoins only come when a block is found. But we wanted to give a sense of the increase rate and it's easier to visualize it with a continuous evolution!Hey, maybe it's me but I'm on Firefox and on the last part if I click to have the details of the question is make some weird effect with the text :/
@Laosai: It seems you have trouble with the text animation. What version of Firefox are you using? another clock shows 129 days http://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/ versus this that show 137, and another one show 137 like this one, so i guess the first that i saw is wrong
