Statement on our ShapeShift Partnership

On the 15th February we announced a partnership with ShapeShift which allows us to freely use their technology, like the Shifty Button and their API calls. In return the ShapeShift team would provide support to the users who have problems with the altcoin conversion.

This deal was officially communicated between Max Kordek, CEO of Lisk, and Erik Voorhees, CEO of ShapeShift. There was a mutual agreement beforehand and both parties agreed on this technologic partnership.

Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication which resulted in ShapeShift protecting their own interests and reputation by denying the partnership with Lisk. We reached out to ShapeShift in order to clean up the misunderstandings and find a way forward.

In agreement with our XCR escrow partner Axel Hellinger, we added a new Crypti account for the escrow. By now there are already over 25% of all XCR in the first Crypti account, and a single account should never hold these crazy amounts.
