Well, me too have a transaction that is waiting for confirmation for several hours ! Now that is clear signal to move from bitcoin to something more usable. Hmm DASH or MONERO?

I wonder if the network effect (I mean people used to use Bitcoin) will ever allow any change to this. As far as I see the only crypto actually used for payments today are BTC and LTC. The adoption of all other coins combined is tiny compared to them. Dash looks like the most capable replacement but for some reason it isn't popular. I think more people know about Dogecoin than about Dash.
That's one reason we need a PR Company.
