Is there any plan to fix the fact that the tournament doesn't just pop up on its own?

It probably has something to do with your browser settings. Try allowing all popups.
it's happened to me at first time fj poker was launched, and yeah the problem is on your browser poicy, by allowing popups you will see a new window popping up everytime you are logged in and registered in a tourney.

Hi, fortunejack since most people around here has been talking about taking the ring games to the next level as well then I got an idea that you should probably make a competition of the most hands played of the week. The top three of maybe top ten (?) depending on the number of player in the ring games and award the winner with the ticket to this 3000 mBTC tournament therefore it will help to ensure the game will have enough player to run
i like this idea , luckyflop have implemented this by rewarding players who play at ring table with luckyflop points which can be a ticket to a certain tourney.
so do in nitrogen poker, players must play certain hands to get in certain tourney. it's effective way to make ring game full of players.
