nope. cable modem... FREE usage.
course... it was basically a local connection to the city.
was a weather report, and a BBS system.
in the super early stages lol.
small city, not sure why they tried it here. but it was cool

i had a 2400, then a 14400, then a 28800.. man i miss those days! i'll never forget how excited i was to get my own phone line back in '91
