you can do better with six 970 = 1020w for 132 megahash, this is 7.7w/mh, and this is also a more cheaper rig

4x7990 = £1100. 6x970 = £1500. So it is more expensive to use the 970. Maybe the 970 will hold value better.

If you are looking to sell it later yes because it will play newer games and that is one of the secondary markets for these things on eBay other than miners.

I wondering if the 7970 can be used in the GPU mining in the future. It has 3GB memory and can handle a lot of things.
