I may have thought up an actual use case for Expanse.
It could be marketed to Ethereum DApp developers as a sort
of "live" testnet.
Ethereum has a testnet on its own, but it seems
to me that a traded coin with a real userbase can provide much
better simulation of the eventual deployment.

Actually wondering if ETH-EXP could be linked to allow for "expanded", second tier, low cost capacity for ETH dApps to run on, that may not require the faster confirmation time and higher security.
This could get interesting once the high cost of ETH, or demand based dApp contention ever becomes an issue.
Yes, they are welcome to build/test dApps all they like on EXP live. (The lower EXP price means they are much less expensive to actually run) -- The main use case as I see it is the community having the freedom to modify the project as we wish over time, and experiment with different paths/choices. Different block times, counts, rewards, funding design, difficulty settings, and so on. We are not locked in to the exact same choices that ETH makes.
