bitcoin can be immortal if there will be bitcoin users, they're most important thing, if there will be no users or buyers/sellers, bitcoin will die really soon, but since we have plenty of them, i don't think that bitcoin could die in next 40 years or even more
bitcoin digital currency is being developed to date, and will probably continue to be used, so it is likely bitcoin would still be alive if they are very many people who use them
