Your setup is looking good... now all you have to do is to have patience. Restarting the wallet once in a while might help a bit (as I've noticed for myself), but that's not guaranteed.
Also, some speed gain might be obtained by using an empty wallet.dat (save the original in at least two distinct devices though).
