My point, perhaps poorly expressed, was that if you think these problems are 'not hard', you must have solutions in mind, no? I'd be interested in hearing your ideas. I am genuinely interested, not being sarcastic here.
It wasn't only me that had
those solutions in mind. In fact they are already included in the "segregated witness" proposal, but without the "segregation" part. The "segregation" just splits the transaction in two parts. In fact one could come up with a deficient "segregated witness" proposal that wouldn't fix the discussed problems. They are orthogonal concepts.
