Not sure if this was investigated, but would be nice to have a portable version of the HD wallet. Something you can put on a USB stick and doesn't require user directory access on a local computer. Any way, just an idea

all we'd need is a shortcut that tells the exe where the data directory is. something like shadow.exe -datadir=./shadow, then add the blockchain and index files to the shadow directory, as well as the wallet.dat, it will be better once we release the new lite wallet, then you wouldn't have to worry about the blockchain.It will be neat if that runs on Android, then you can pop a microSD into a mobile device with or without the blockchain and run a full node on a phone.
Don't know what that would do to the network, never know when or where a peer will show up.
