As I assume you know, the climate in the cryptocurrency world is constantly changing. I posted a new topic because I am interested in current crypto concepts and how to navigate them properly.
To answer your question, my intention is long term investment and to gain a greater understanding about the underlying technology . Obviously, investing in stable growing industry results in monetary gain so I won't act like I'm not interested in profit, but I fully support crypto and believe that it is the future of currency.
With all (due?) respect, my question is not vague, as I am specifically asking what set of criteria people are using to determine the legitimacy of new coins. Additionally, the reality of the situation is contrary to your analogy. This is more like me walking into a hardware store and asking long time customers what characteristics of previously purchased tools they have found to be indicitave of a long lasting product.
