I don't recall seeing any details about the final vote, but it seemed like most people were for this application to proceed?
I would also suggest to get on one more exchange, Polo would be good.
This is not just about a voting process, it's about first understanding thoroughly what we are getting ourselves involved with if we proceed with azure.
I'm with gjhiggins about this:

No-one's permission nor agreement is required to pursue an application for MS to add SPR the list of supported alts (AIUI, it reduces to persuading someone to create and submit a Docker file for MS to add to an MS-hosted directory).
...
...the only issue is who does it.
The opportunity to run multiple services on a second tier was something we bounced around back in the Summer of 2014. Two years later and everyone is pursuing something that we pioneered as a concept and was both novel and different when we raised it.
The Azure platform is looking for packaged-up code and they are looking for projects with services. As we brought this to the attention of the world, I don't like the idea of giving up that trail blazing thought leadership to copy/paste projects.
If MS Azure was looking for exclusivity, I wouldn't go anywhere near them. But a package build can be deployed anywhere, so I don't view this as an Azure only approach, but something that will be useful for ServiceNode operators regardless of where they want to host ServiceNodes.
Make it easy to deploy and you generate mass market appeal and hence competition for available spaces. Then the issue is about those who take the time to understand what they have deployed and how to make sure they can keep standards up to ensure they don't get bumped off the revenue split.
edit
We could even sell package builds on USB sticks, with Bitcoin full nodes already on them (give people the choice of Core, Classic, etc). The profit generated could go to the dev fund.
I'd be happy to buy a package build, with 65GB bitcoin full node on it for $100 if it was something like the
