Closing statement of Drachmae Project Proof of Concept 2015

April 2015 Drachmae Project was created based on a white paper being created to explore opportunities in Greece around Blockchain solutions and viability of use case.

Drachmae Project was the creation of Lee Gibson Grant for his own personal exploration around a white paper concept that frog leaped into LIVE POC use cases using blockchain and Greece was chosen based on the amount of use cases available to explore.

Version One of the E-Drachmae document was created in April 2015 and now in 2016 Version Two is being worked on and further Live POC trials will be done in 2016 In total there will be four versions of the E-Drachma one each year till 2018.

For transparency and clarification to the public domain too all that contributed and assisted in the project in various shapes and forms I am disclosing the basic financials to the Trial of 2015.

Total funding received towards the project from multiple sources 64,700 GBP (91,600 USD) “Includes sponsorship funds”
Self funded Lee Gibson Grant, Development Team and supporting service providers  152,360 GBP (216,100 USD)
 
Total Cost of the project 217,060 GBP (307,700.70 USD)

We also extend the thanks to the Nautiluscoin Community and Co for participating in the Live trials where Nautiluscoin was distributed to local people and used as payment method to experience how they would use it and what the reaction would be to digital currency by users that have never used or heard of digital currency. On the back of the POC the exchange Licence is owned by Nautiluscoin alongside Nautiluscoin sponsoring the model shoot, on the note of the exchange any accounts was moved to DXMarkets to be support Nautiluscoin from DXMarkets initiative in good will gesture to the community.

Thanks to NXT Community for supporting the start off to the project and using its API rich Blockchain core functions that enabled many user cases to be achieved during the 2015 Trials of Drachmae Project.
