I've submitted a pull request with a 2-3% speedup in decred.
I may work on it more, if there is interest.
wow: in a world of private miners, I push a free speedup to a popular algo and don't even get considered...
so far for my opensource miner efforts.
My donations tend to moon sooner than later...
