Re: Good news! From today the Turing Trust now accepts bitcoin donations!

Good to see another non-profit organization accepting Bitcoin - especially one in the technology field! It would be good if you could download a soft Bitcoin wallet into the computer before you send them out to Africa. Anyway, would donate some Bitcoin when I am not in a tight budget.

I doubt we'll be adding wallets to our computers but one thing we have spoken about is adding a section on Bitcoin and digital currencies to our E-library

Good to hear.I am sure if some reputed NGO like yours adopt and endorse bitcoin,it will going to help bitcoin in its growth.Bitcoins is often associated with some bad things which keep a lot of people away from it.NGOs like Turing Trust involvement will dispel the misconceptions from a common man's mind

Very good point. We are aware the public's perception of Bitcoin isn't always very positive so we hope we can play a part in helping to change that.
