Two questions come in my mind : what kind of return could I get from this and what load would it put on the CPU ? Is there a profit calculator out there ?

Since this is intended to mine GPU altcoins, it will be something really cheap, like a Celeron G1820. Do you think it will be able to handle the mining of the GPUs and of the HDDs ?
Yes, Burst mining only uses your GPU or CPU for about 10-20 seconds depending on your configuration every 4 minutes. If you are using HHD, you won't even be using 100% of the GPU/CPU while reading. You can also optimize your plots to reduce the reading time and load even more.

How many HDD so you think I can put on my motherboard (an ASRock Pro BTC) ?
You are able to connect 4 SATA drives to your motherboard. (If it's that one). You can connect even more to usb 3 or dual usb 2 via a usb to SATA connector.

Thank you, your help is greatly appreciated Wink ! But tell me, if I buy a USB "adder", with 10 more USB ports, I can theorically add at least 10x 4 To HDD ?
BURST isn't really paying at the moment according to the calculator, but I'll stick to my idea.
A final question, maybe a bit hard to answer : what lifetime can I except from a new HDD running 24/7 BURST ?
