I don't have problems with syncing, but the whole thing is getting very slow and consuming more resources each day.
Turning on the wallet once a day to download the day worth of transactions takes about two hours to be back in sync.
When we move from the 30 second block time to a 45 second block time, this should speed up syncing.
However this will require a hard fork, so it will probably be postponed until a major update is put out.
I did just test mine and it took ~35 minutes to sync 24 hours worth. (4 gig of ram running windows.)
If running
ZEIT under an emulator , up the Ram to 2 or 3 gig and see if that speeds you up, you might have some disk thrashing happening.
(Also if the Wallet is not encrypted, it can try to stake and slow down the syncing process.)

ZEIT is adding ~1 gig to the blockchain per year, which is sustainable
In comparison Ethereum is adding ~1 gig to their blockchain Every Month.
