The chart is clearly (in both the logical and financial senses of the word) speculative, as it illustrates for HYIP marketing purposes potential (IE future) ROI under both 1k and 2k MadoffNode scenarios.
I was of course using "speculative" in the financial sense as your linked definition provides:
