Most of the gamblers think that after winning some money they want to come out of gambling at least for that day but greediness will not allow them..
I think that their greediness is in their mind, if they can't control their mind set then they would probably end up greedy about gambling and can't possibly stop it on their own! the way people act and emotion can certainly affect their bet on gambling.
