Bitcoin is designed so that its price will always grow (with bubbles and busts of course), so it will reach $10k eventually. You can argue that something can stop it (altcoins, goverments etc.), but I think the chances for that are <50% (see history so far).
Does it really matter when it'll reach $10,000? If you wait for the sign that $10k is near (so that you can buy BTC and not wait too long), you are lost.
