Vernon took after "hack" 9166 BTCs. 6067 BTCs directly from Cryptsy wallet and 3099 BTCs from selling users altcoins on other exchanges - Coinbase,BTC-e,BTER,Bittrex,Mintpal,CEX and Poloniex.

Also he took additional 764 BTCs from Cryptsy wallet to fund opening Bitebi9 exchange in China and unknown amount of cash money from Cryptsy and Cryptsy Canada.

So in total, it is 9930 BTCs ~ 4.6 millions of dollars, almost equal to sum stolen from "hacker" in July.2014


These money he used to finance Cryptsy operations expenses,Bitebi9 expenses and his own expenses.

Example - imagine that your stock broker took money from your account to pay his workers,open his office in another country and buy himself few Ferrari cars,huge beautiful house and other luxury items.

That is pure theft.


To legally buy 1.3 million house for cash money,he had to report huge profit to IRS for 2014 - the year of theft.

Now,he is in exile in China and probably cant return forever in US,because:

- he cant explain to IRS and SEC huge profit in the year of theft

- he cant explain to FBI buying expensive house and SUVs,few months after theft

- he cant explain to FBI takeing and selling BTCs and other altcoins from users accounts after so call hack till April 2016

- he cant explain to FBI why he didnt report huge theft plus didnt do anything to track stolen altcoins and report hacker to Bittrex when he moved BTCD and XC there,like it was in recently for UNOs transfer

- he cant explain to Secret Service how BTCs stolen from SilkRoad seized wallet by rogue agents came in his cold wallet and stay there until theft

- in April he was caught red handed in failed attempt to move UNOs from Cryptsy on Bittrex and sell them - he cant explain that move like he was to make them more secure,because he had to only disconnect wallet servers to do that



When he would be sentenced and red Interpol warrant filled,I dont believe that Chinese will tolerate his presence in China any more.
