Can somebody explain the use of plot optimizing? I'm a small timer using different size drives I had laying around, 500gig, 1TB's and such but normally just plot each drive in sequence with nonces, no overlaps though, but just recently discovered the plot optimizer. What does it do? Will it increase read speeds for my jminer? Find lower deadlines? Just curious.
1. Will it increase read speeds for miners? - Yes
2. Find lower deadlines? - No
optimizer - changes structure of plot
for example, miner must read scoop #1 (blue arrows)
so, if plot optimized, miner reads sequence from HDD, without long SEEKs
I have 2 plots (the same size) at same HDD :
