I was 6, and even by that tender age I was into sci-fi and loved everything to do with outer space.  My mother knew how much I was into it, so she and her sister packed me and my 3 cousins into the station wagon and we all headed to the movie theater to see the movie.  I remember just being awestruck by the entire thing.  Star Wars is pretty much the first movie I really remember seeing in the theater.  I had so many Star Wars related toys... action figures, X-wing fighters, Millennium Falcon, Death Star, light sabers, blasters... my room was pretty much completely filled with Star Wars gear .

I've since seen every Star Wars film more times than I can count.  I've seen every remake and remastered version.  I went to the theaters to see them again when they were re-released.  I've read a ton of the expanded universe stuff and have played or owned pretty much every video game associated to Star Wars.
