I don't do enough gambling to make an affect either way. That's the key to avoid getting addicted to it.
Most likely your ideas will work, but it only applies to those who haven't experienced addiction (I think), and for those who are already addicted in gambling I think your idea would not work. The best way to people who are already addicted to is meditating in a deserted with life and closer to God
