To provide a bit of background, shen and moneromooo
(and I think hyc) have been collaborating on getting shen's ringct cryptography library merged with the Monero wallet and daemon. It's something warptangent was preparing to work on previously, so there had to be a bit of a transition. That has now started to bear fruit in the form of commits.
