I think this was a good move on Vitalik's part. But it will probably not have any measurable impact on Ethereum or its value.
If anything, the developer once again demonstrating his remarkable intellect will push the price higher.

I m pretty sure that not all believed he is himself and so he had to proof this by moving some of his really related & earliest coins... Well done , it worked.
