I doubt Grandma will ever run her own node, regardless of GUI. In the CryptoFuture, I imagine Grandma will use a third-party solution specifically designed for grandmas

That's exactly my point, and it's not a logical fallacy. You don't need the core software unless you want to run your own node. So why does grandma need a core GUI?
