So basically the devs want additional 5% of all iotas (minimum) to pay for their work in several future months. They collected over half a mil dollars but they spent them without even releasing a full gui. If they don't receive the required amount of iotas, they will leave and start the same thing with other people, more generous ones. Right?

The role of the IOTA Foundation will be to actively engage companies and projects that can benefit from the technology and business opportunities that IOTA offers them. This include in-person meetings and presentations, going to IoT/fintech/crypto conferences and actively raising awareness through media.

The Foundation will consist of dedicated members with experience and expertise. Most importantly these members is required to have a significant amount of time dedicated to the work involved.

As this will be a half-time/full-time job at times the members will be compensated for travel and accommodation as well as a wage. In addition to this expenses will include potential fees to conferences and marketing material.
