It's already 2016$ and I don't think this is going to happen unless we are at least couple of months behind the halving block reward or after it .
That is not going to happen in 2016 we still have 6 months left in 2016. We are not even halve way there so for the price to be 1000 with in 6 months is pretty unlikely. We need allot more time then that.
It will take some time for the bitcoin to rise to $1000. But it mainly depends on the mass adoption of the coin.
