Coinbase is such a self righteous scam of a company. They took $10k usd from me that I put in to buy BTC at $455 each and today they are at $555. I have no BTC and no money. All I get is constant excuses as to why I haven't been refunded my money and constant delays. To make matters worse the customer service people are about as rude as you can get. I am surprised it is even legal to do what they are doing to me.
Where are you located ? Why not sue them ? If you're very confident that the sources of your income are legit and not black collar stuff like Gambling,hit the nearest cyber crime department.Send their official address a notice.Spreading awareness about how scammy a site is not going to help you refund your $10k.Take an initiative beyond internet.Scenarios like this are giving bitcoin a bad name.
correct me if I am wrong....you are advising he should not make this public to maintain bitcoins "good name"? Why should that be his priority? Is main concern is to get his funds back and how he goes about it is his perogative.
