wow so after the crowdsale you now must donate more or your coin will be worthless. That sounds a bit harsh like.

How will it be worthless? The software operates exactly as intended when you bought it, the company who sold the token specify in terms of sales that we will deliver software, not work to make the tokens increase in value from a monetary perspective through marketing, adoption campaigning, branding, ecosystem building etc; that is a community effort. Keep in mind that we - the company - didn't allocate a single iota for ourselves, precisely to avoid people thinking that we were somehow obligated to do any work beyond our sales agreement of developing and delivering software to our customers.

We have proposed a foundation, and it's up to the community by 100% choice to participate or not. It is 100% a free choice, unlike what would have been the case if we had premined 5-10-20% like other projects. The reason we chose not to do such a premine is that you can't force success and so we leave it up to the community. As ethical, fair, open and professional as physically possible.

YEah I hear ya. Just expected to not pay again lol

You're not. You paid for software, now you got the opportunity to pay for a dedicated group of proven activists to ensure adoption of your software which will increase it's utility and value. It's a different entity altogether. It'll be a non-profit foundation and is not related to the company that develops and sold IOTA software beyond the fact that a portion of the foundation will consist of us (the founders of IOTA).

So IOTA is finished then its launched? Or the software is written. It just needs to be worked on?

Portions of the software has been available for testing since January, this is what is called beta. Today after some analysis I will be able to finally provide official launch date (which is not far off).
