Real mining is simply a waste of money without special equipment. HYIP (including HYIPs that claim they are mining) are simply a scammish way to lose money.
If they suddenly become a scam, I'd try to get it back, but then ultimately learn the lesson and move on. Don't involve yourself in these ways of losing money.
