Once the buzz weakens around ETH and LSK coins like GEO can possibly reach top 10- top 20 on coinmarketcap. It's a matter of patience and observable developement.

Storing geographic coordinates on the blockchain is not really an impressive feature. Most coins are able to store some basic information in their blockchain. What would need to be decentralized is the confirmations that someone's device is actually in the geographic location that they say they're in. However if this code is open to the public in a decentralized way, hackers can learn how to abuse it. Our geocaching app is centralized which gives us control of verifying gps locations, etc.
In the future, when the time makes sense, we will switch our code base to scalable POS 2.0 (currently being developed by ethereum and synereo). At that time we will start putting all GIS data on the blockchain as a decentralized source/map server for anyone to use. Think decentralized google maps with rewards for adding GIS data, mapping the world and verifying other people's mapped objects.
