look like a 12 x 12 chess board.
Google search for 12x12 chessboard shows Millenial Chess

When looking at the map on the game online the message that comes up is:
"The journey inward begins here" is scrawled on the back.Maybe back means scrawled on the first layer of the map picture?
Scrawled means: write (something) in a hurried, careless way.
Also why is the game picture on
TextAdventures faded out, discoloured, is that trying to tell us to ignore certain colours on the map?

I'm only assuming just thought I throw some ideas for people smarter than me to figure it out.
