I'm new to mining and am wondering whether BITMAIN is trustworthy or not.

Oh for sure. They're by far the best company out there for hardware right now with their new s9. Definitely trustworthy. I recommend waiting about a month because some very crazy things are going to be happening and it's best not to expose yourself to that much risk.Any recommendations will be appreciated.
They have dubious ethics and rip-off prices, but definitively legit, as far as a company can be legit in China.

Extremely racist to classify any country like that. Bitmain is very trustworthy I would say going back looking at all the companies that have come and gone. So far they have always delivered the miners I order. Even the little known L1 they decided not to do they gave us refund plus some if I remember right. So have always came through and continue to sell to consumers.
Look at so many other companies like BFL (which was US), Hashcoins, TerraHash, Insert ton of pre-order companies here X. Bitmain look very trusted if you go back though history as far as I see providing so many generations worth of gear.
All USA based mining hashware providers were scammers, eg BFL, Cointerra, Hashfast, etc. America is no longer competitive due to massive regulation, taxes, and socialism. I would be more skeptical of an American company than a Chinese one.
Just the way it works here in Murica BTCland(they were all just ripoff artists or became such after finding out they can getaway with anything).....fleece the nerds & geeks,who dey gonna call??

Bitmain WILL ship what they sell (they are overpriced,but what canyado),if you buy from them & not a scammer posing as them.Check here BEFORE you buy from anyone!!!!!
