I will pass on investing any significant money into Rise who has an Team Member that is of questionable integrity. Secondly, extending the ICO like Rise decided to do (most likely because they were not raising enough funds) was a horrible move as well.

Delay launch and it's ok but delay the ICO to get proper funding even after the community members had been asking for it is now not a good move. I think someone's playing favorites here.
Absolutely, Waves is as much better idea/platform/team than Rise. Adding Alty to the Team was a horrible idea and has cost the team thousands of bitcoins in investments
Waves will do fine on it's merits, comparisons to other projects is a waste of time. Waves is a completely different class. It's like comparing pro ball to high school.
