Hello everybody! Our last post here was met with a lot of distaste but also some constructive suggestions on how to improve our process. Most of the points mentioned there were true. We should have done more research before getting excited and posting. All in all, our approach was wrong and we apologise.
We are coming back to you, with a better objective: To give T-Shirts to underprivileged people at traffic lights in India, starting with Delhi.
If you have read our posts on http://redlightblues.in, you will see that these people unfortunately, don't have access to good clothing. We notice that is a problem with at least 95% of people working at traffic lights in India. They wear whatever they can get their hands on, usually clothes that have been thrown away by other people.
So we are bringing this opportunity to you to give one poor person one t-shirt. Unlike our previous un-calculated post, we've done the math this time!
It would cost us 0.02BTC ($15) to give 1 person 1 t-shirt. We have a goal of giving at least 2000 people t-shirts, for which we would need to raise 40BTC. But we will start work as soon as we get enough for 10 tshirts.
But you might ask, apart from this being a good deed, what is it for the Bitcoin community? Simple: We're printing designs on the front and back of the shirt. The front, will have a design of a Bitcoin and/or Bitcoin related art. The back, would have a QR code and/or link to our website - redlightblues.in.
This presents yet another unique opportunity to people/companies/casinos that would like to see custom front-designs! If you donate between 2-5BTC, you can decide the front design of the t-shirts, given they're not objectionable designs. If you donate between 5-10BTC, you can decide on the front AND back designs and we'll only have the URL to our website at the bottom of the back of the t-shirt.
We understand that a lot of scammers use this forum to try to cheat Bitcoin owners out of their money. We aren't one of those people. We're happy to respond to any queries you may have at the following email address - hi@redlightblues.in.
We are also tying up with a 2 year old established NGO in the next couple of days. This NGO is owned by prominent BJP (a political party) leaders Uma Bharti and Manju Tewari! (Touch-wood, fingers-crossed)! This would be a big step for us. Aircel has also shown some interest but their CSR team (the marcom manager - Mr. Manish) is a little slow on the take, and said he needs time to discuss this with his superiors!
We will update the T-Shirt designs here as soon as we have them! They're currently in the design phase, we hope they come out good!
