[newb question alert] and how do you get full time on btc? by trading, looking for profitable investments and mining, etc? can that fill your entire time? 
You can get full time on btc if you know many ways to earn it. You can build a gambling site, faucets, and trading which are very profitable. And it will definitely fill your entire time because you have to maintain your gambling site or check daily the status of your trading investments.
With faucets and giveaways's you won't make it, I am afraid. The only way it so have a solid and good working service or product (like an exchange or casino).
Which is quite hard, but if you managed to build such an thing and pay your bills... I for sure would quite my dayjob and go 'full time' into bitcoin.
Being an entrepreneur is something I've always dreamt of.
