First, I apologize on the behalf of the Kraken team to all our clients for the recent instability in the website and API. Things are much improved at the present time and so far as we know everyone should be able to access the site OK or trade through the API. As you are probably aware, it was caused by a massive influx of traffic related to the DAO incident, which you can read more about here:

I'm also sorry it's taken a while for me to post here about it. In incidents like this, we will generally be focused on posting updates to our status page (twitter too, but the main focus will be the status page).
