Gambling for profit is never wrong. It is the greed that makes us lose our money. In fact, gambling itself is also never wrong. But it is people who tends to overspend what they can afford that hurt the people surrounding them that makes gambling a sin. As long as you know how to control yourself, it is ok to gamble.
profit and fun are always there when it comes in gambling but there is also the time that you will be sad at all when you knew that no money left in your wallet.
so you must know how to discipline yourself. hehe yes I think is true, all the people who play gambling to get a profit, even if they play for fun or addictive. but maybe if you play for having fun is not too ambitious to always make a profit, like playing under addiction.
