I'm doing some research and I would appreciate if you fine gentlemen will give me some frank feedback.

This is more of a hypothetical scenario at this time, but it is possible this could become a real loan, so I'd appreciate honest information.

I'm not going to tell you why this scenario comes about, because you don't need to know that now.

All you need to know is you will provide your payment address, and you will be paid the same amount of BTC as you have loaned to me, but this BTC will have a NLockTime¹ so you won't be able to spend it until the NLockTime¹ expires. It is impossible for this BTC payment to be revoked. NLockTime¹ only delays your ability to spend the BTC.

So I want feedback on the following?

1. Maximum you can loan. For example, 10 BTC is a waste of my time. Larger amounts please.

2. The range of NLockTimes you can accept. I hope to see some very long expiration periods offered, i.e. 12 months or more. Only 3 months and above will be considered.

3. The interest rate you require. And you can specify different interest rates for different NLockTimes.


The only other complication is whether you loan the BTC to me first, or you receive the NLockTimed BTC first. I want you to presume the latter, because before the loan is made, some other details will be explained to you, such that you will believe the latter is the risk profile you are dealing with.

Edit: this is not some stupid game or scam¹. There is a very serious reason for this research. And you will eventually come to know the reason. Please do help me ascertain the market rates for the above loan.

¹ please see the 2nd and 3rd posts in this thread for the clarification on how the nLockTime transaction will be structured with a 2-of-2 multisig, so that it can't be double-spent by the borrower.
