I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW THE "RED" IS GONE
IT'S GOING TO BE A BRITE, BRITE, BRITE, ......GREEN DAY

Mark my words. We will see 550$ again before halving.
good I will buy some more coins.
I hope to see under 450 as the diff will drop a lot.
Back to mining here.
I see an exploit issue for all 5n pools on the day before the ½ ing
It only lasts for 12 to 30 thirty hours on this pool > I was going to post a pm explaining it to kano, but I decided to mention it here this way to be transparent.
I don't see it to be a major problem but I think it should be explained in case a few people try to do it. Some would say don't mention it you are only going to cause more people to do it. Since it only happens to pools with a 5n setup like here and it only happens right before a ½ ing I will explain it.
Blocks are 25 coins now and will be 12.5 coins.
My 5n is 50th so 50th right now should earn about .12 btc in one day.
So the 5n expires or lasts 30 hours more or less.
So 24 hours before the ½ ing I hop from the pool. and for the 24 hours my 5n drifts down from 50th to about 10th say for the 24 hours I average 30th.
So kano.is will pay me about .07203 for the 24 hours.
assuming kano.is has normal luckI move my 50 th to horror of horrors f2pool and they pay me 0.115296 and I get 0.187326 for my 24 hour time period.
½ ing happens I shift my 50 th back to kano.is takes me a day to ramp up to 50th but rewards are 12.5 coins so the punishment for hopping pools is 50% of the reward for hopping the pool.
This only happens on the day before a 1/2ing event.
I am commenting the solar array to mine here during that time period and will not do the hop and return move.
I only mention this because no one has written about this statistical advantage of a one day hop from a 5n pool to f2pool.
I really prefer to be as open as I can and when I find something out like this feel everyone should be aware of it.
So if you have figured this out and were going to do it do not be angry that I revealed this.
At kano feel free to delete this if you prefer to delete it.
Best regards Phil
